The sample size provided is 20 g of soil. Using a smaller sample size than 5 grams may invalidate the assigned value and/or uncertainty shown above. Although this soil standard has been thoroughly blended prior to shipping it is necessary to homogenize this sample prior to opening. Carefully snap the top off the sample in a fume hood to avoid inhalation of dust. Prepare and analyze the soil standard according to yournormal anaiytical procedures.

Storage

The sample should be stored in a dark dry location.It has been determined to be stable for the duration of the expiration date.

After sub-sampling replace cap securely and store remaining sample at 4C(Room temperature).

Stability and shelf life after opening must be determined by the user,taking into account sampling frequency/volume and all local conditions.
